Bartlett Tree Experts Expands in Western Massachusetts and in Maryland with Acquisition of The Haupt Tree Company and Stansbury Tree Service, respectively

March 16, 2023 – Sheffield, Mass. – Bartlett Tree Experts, the world’s leading scientific tree and shrub care company, is pleased to announce that it has expanded in
Western Massachusetts with the acquisition of The Haupt Tree Company. Founded by Erik H. Haupt in 1957, The Haupt Tree Company was built with a focus on tree preservation and plant health care; serving residential, commercial and municipal clients throughout Western Massachusetts, Eastern New York and Northwestern Connecticut. With the acquisition, 20 Haupt employees have joined Bartlett Tree Experts. As a result, the addition of a new Bartlett office in Suffield, Massachusetts represents Bartlett’s 163rd operation and second location in Western Massachusetts.

Erik G. Haupt II, who joins Bartlett as the Local Manager of its new Sheffield office, said in a note to clients that Bartlett provides their local team of arborists with the opportunity to “continue to improve services for customers to maintain beautiful and healthy landscapes.”

The Haupt Tree Company was most-recently managed by a second-generation of the Haupt family, with Erik G. Haupt II serving as President and General Manager and
Peter G. Haupt serving as Vice President and Fleet Manager. Recognized nationally as an industry leader, the company is accredited by the Tree Care Industry Association (TCIA) and includes several members of the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) on its staff. Bartlett Tree Experts Expands in Maryland with Acquisition of Stansbury Tree Service

March 16, 2023 - Westminster, MD - Bartlett Tree Experts, founded by Francis A. Bartlett in 1907 and the world's leading scientific tree and shrub care company, is pleased to announce it has acquired Stansbury Tree Service in northern Maryland.

Since 1996, Stansbury Tree Service has provided quality residential and commercial tree and shrub care throughout Maryland.  Owner operator Patrick Stansbury worked for Bartlett Tree Experts early in his career and credits Barlett with teaching him species-specific pruning techniques and about the importance of plant health care to ensure optimal growing conditions of trees and shrubs in the landscape.  Impressed with Bartlett's commitment to safety, science, technology, and customer service, he joins Bartlett along with his wife, Dixie, daughter Paige, and son Patrick, a climber.

"We chose Bartlett Tree Experts because I felt they could best care for our clients' trees and shrubs as we have for the last 26 years.  Bartlett has a proven plant health care program which is vital to the care and health of trees and shrubs," Patrick Stansbury said.
